About The Ice Cream Man...

The Ice Cream Man was started in the early 1980's by Keith and Charlene Mann. They ran it as a Memorial day to Labor day operation. Making the ice cream in the morning and serving from 1pm to 9pm. The ice cream was made and served in the 16x20 log cabin. They originally called it the Ice Cream Mann since their last name was Mann.

In August, 1994 the Mann's sold the business to Nancy Schneider. She stayed open until October and reopened in April. Nancy knew that she needed The Ice Cream Man business to be more year round so in the fall of 1995, she put on the current addition. The addition included a larger dip shop, inside seating, and a screened in porch. This allowed the ice cream to be made while the retail shop was opened. Nancy also added ice cream cakes and soft ice cream.

In April 2001 the business was again sold to Julia Reynolds who had been The Ice Cream Man's retail manager since 1997.
